Well, well, well. Maybe no comment is best. New poems under "di Padova" -- hope you like them.

How Time Flies

I haven't posted here in ages, because life got complicated. We are moving to Padua, Italy for nine months and it's been a huge undertaking -- getting a VISA (a nightmare of details and grubbing), packing up the house for others (it's a house swap), figuring out all the travel details. The good news is, I will be writing, writing, writing once we settle in -- we arrive September 7 after much other traveling. If you are interested in all that, I have just started a blog for the adventure at <http://paduaswap.blogspot.com/>.

I'll get some new poems, yes there are a few, posted here asap.

Ciao!

Blog Makeover

Because I can only have up to ten pages (the links to the right) at any time, I've re-arranged things a bit. So, you'll see that the options have changed from one poem per "page" to groups of poems gathered onto a "page." Always an experiment . . . keep posted.

VSC Farewell

Deepest appreciation to everyone at the Vermont Studio Center -- the folks who made all that amazing food, who brought toilet paper and hand-towels at all hours, who weeded the beautiful beds, cleaned the sheets, organized the travel, painted the studios, photocopied the schedules, hung their art for us to see, and everyone else, too.

Here's a poem called Mangler that I wrote yesterday morning, my last day in residence. It was a surprisingly rich and productive week.

Hurray for all the great artists and writers in residence, too. What a bunch of good people.

I have been writing up a storm at the Vermont Studio Center this week. Check out two new poems: Crave and Grief.

No Poem a Day

Seemed like a good idea at the time. Poem whenever is more like it. Something new soon.

Lucky

I'm at the Vermont Studio Center this week, writing. If you don't know about the Center, check it out. It is a wonderful, wonderful place to be. My luckiness is immense.
